Hosted Afro-Queer Escape: Buenos Aires Pride 2026

I am honestly buzzing about this one. Buenos Aires is magic. The culture, the queer history, the food, the nightlife, the countryside… it all comes together in a way that gets under your skin in the best possible way.

Date: 2 to 14 November 2026

A little note before you dive in…

You’re here because I’ve personally invited you.

This isn’t public, and it isn’t a tour. It’s a hosted escape for a small group of like-minded amazing humans who want culture and connection, but still want the freedom to wander off when they fancy.

Think Pride. Black History Day. Queer tango. Countryside stories. Amazing food. And a lot of time to explore Buenos Aires your own way.

I’ll be there throughout, hosting rather than herding, keeping things relaxed, inclusive, and full of those little moments that make trips unforgettable…

What we’ll experience together

These shared events are included in the price. Everything else is completely your own adventure.

Welcome Dinner with Chef Nacho Bravo

3 November
A beautiful Argentine barbecue prepared just for us by Chef Nacho Bravo and his team. The perfect way to settle in, meet everyone properly, and start things off with good food and good vibes.

Buenos Aires LGBTQ History Tour

6 November
A deep dive into the history, landmarks, and legacy of Argentina’s queer movement.
You’ll explore how gender expression and sexuality have shifted from pre colonial traditions through to Argentina’s world leading equal marriage and gender identity laws. Expect visits to:

  • The National Congress

  • Historic teteras (secret queer meeting spots)

  • Carlos Jáuregui Station

  • The Evita Perón Museum

  • The Rose Gardens

  • A Queer Cultural Centre

It’s rich, emotional, political, joyful, and gives you a proper understanding of the city’s queer soul.

Buenos Aires LGBTQ Pride - The Main Event

7 November
One of the most joyous Pride celebrations on the planet. Colour, music, crowds, community. We head out together but everyone will naturally drift, wander, dance, and celebrate however they like. It’s the kind of day that stays with you.

If you want to experience Pride from inside the action, for a one-off extra fee, Lunfarda can organise a spot on the country’s first Afro LGBTIQA float

Day of the Afro Argentines - The Other Main Event

8 November
A celebration honouring Afro Argentine history and culture. Expect music, performance, storytelling, and a beautiful energy across the city.

Buenos Aires Black History Tour (am)

10 November
Led by local community members, this tour explores the history of the Afro Argentines, the erasure that followed, and the activism fighting for an anti-racist Argentina today. The profits from these tours support free and affordable community education, so your visit directly uplifts local kids and families. You’ll see a side of Buenos Aires that’s incredibly important, often overlooked, and honestly… quite moving.

Queer Tango Class & Night out in Milonga (pm)

10 November

A private tango lesson where traditional roles are rewritten with pride and flair.

You’ll learn fluid, changing roles taught by Laurent TPK — a living legend, pioneer of cuir tango, and Mother of House of Tropikalia. You’ll have a dedicated teacher and assistants to help you get into the rhythm before we all head out to a proper milonga. Expect music, elegance, and a night that feels very Buenos Aires.

Day Trip to the Pampas

12 November
A peaceful and atmospheric full day escape into gaucho country. With your private guide, you’ll travel across the pampas to San Antonio de Areco, a colonial town filled with cobblestones, silversmiths, and old taverns that look straight out of a novel. At the estancia you’ll enjoy:

  • A traditional asado lunch

  • Homemade empanadas

  • Local wine

  • Folk music under the trees

  • A gaucho horsemanship demonstration

It’s a gorgeous, calming day with proper space to breathe.

Farewell Lunch

12 November
Our final shared meal at a Michelin recommended vegetarian restaurant. A lovely way to wrap things up together before heading home.

The Vibe

This is a hosted escape, not a tour.

You get the shared moments, the community feeling, the once in a lifetime experiences… but also the space to explore Buenos Aires on your own terms.

You’ll get a list of hand-picked recommendations so you can build your own mini adventure within the trip.

Think cafes, bars, bookshops, neighbourhoods, galleries, local spots the tour books forget. Join group moments when you fancy. Once we have the group confirmed, I’ll share a curated list of ideas and Lunfarda can get you booked on.

Drift off when you want something quieter. It’s very relaxed.
