As 2025 comes to a close…

Hi lovely humans,

I wanted to pause and say thank you, not in a performative, ‘year in review’ way that is doing the rounds at the moment.

The second half of the year has felt more about conversations, the kind that quietly show me I’m building something with the right people around it.

I’m grateful for you guys who reply to emails and the DMs that turn into a proper “kiki” about travel. I love the reviews, kind words of encouragement and for the quiet recommendations to speak with me about upcoming trips.

What became clearer this year

One thing 2025 sharpened for me is this: the people I most enjoy working with aren’t looking for more trips just for the sake of it. They’re looking for better travel.

They have full lives. Good jobs/businesses. Relationships they care about and limited time. When they travel, they don’t want chaos, crowds, or constant stimulation. They want gay-friendly trips that feel considered and safe.

That way of thinking has shaped Outbound Adventures more than any strategy document ever could, so looking ahead to 2026, I’m intentionally doubling down on that quieter approach.

I’m choosing to do fewer things, properly. Designing trips through real conversations and trust, rather than glossy templates.

You’ll see that reflected in the new website I’m super proud of, how I talk about destinations, and in the kinds of experiences I choose to put my name against.

This is the essence of the Buenos Aires Pride and Afro Argentine celebrations trip in November 2026. It’s curated to be rich, human, and memorable in the ways that actually last.

A final thank you

If you’ve been reading along quietly, replying occasionally, or simply taking something useful from these emails, thank you. This business only works because it’s built on trust and connection, not scale for scale’s sake.

And if 2026 is the year you want travel to feel calmer, more intentional, and more you, I’m really glad you’re here.

As always, my inbox is open. I read every reply.

Steve
